Základní umělecká škola Otakara Ševčíka is an art school located in Pisek in the Czech Republic. Founded in 1901, the school has a long tradition as a music school, later expanded to also offer art and drama education. Currently the school has 730 pupils.
The works on display are made by pupils who have been introduced to various printing techniques; linocut, paper cut, drypoint and combinations of them all. The images are a result of thorough preparations in forms of sketching, drawing and a preliminary plan. The printmaking itself was then a question of choosing colours and playing with the composition until the children reached the result they wanted.
