**Peace Campaign: Make your own peace dove – Peace starts with you!

Peace is something we can all help to create, and it starts with each and every one of us. Through small actions and personal efforts, we can all help to reduce prejudice, promote understanding and spread solidarity. The museum therefore invites both young and old to participate in a special peace campaign that is all about showing that we care about peace and community – by making your own peace dove.

The dove of peace is a universal symbol of hope, peace and unity. Now you have the opportunity to help spread this message! By making your own peace dove, you can express your personal support for peace and solidarity, whether through creative expression or by sending a message of hope to others. There are no limits to how you can customize your dove of peace – it can be white, as is traditional, but it’s up to you to color and decorate it in exactly the way you want. Decorate with colors, patterns, glitter or whatever inspires you!

But why stop there? Perhaps you have a specific wish or thought you’d like to share with the world? The museum encourages everyone to write a personal message, a hopeful thought or a wish for the future on your peace dove. What do you want to say to the world about peace, love and unity? Perhaps it’s a message to friends, family or to all of humanity? Sharing these thoughts can help spread a wave of positive energy and hope.

Once you’ve made your dove of peace, you have several options for where to place it. Hang it up here at the museum to inspire other visitors, or maybe you want to take it home and hang it up at school, in kindergarten, in your window or out in the neighborhood. Wherever you choose to place it, it’s a reminder to everyone that peace starts with us, and that we all have a role to play in creating a better, more understanding society.

In addition to making peace doves at the museum, we are inviting children and young people around the world to join this important campaign. You can upload your finished work to the museum’s website and share your message with a global community. This is a great opportunity to become part of a larger movement that spreads across borders, where creativity and hope for peace unite in a common vision of a better world.
