We are summer open until 21.8.16!
From 21.06.16 – 21.08.16, we extend the opening hours for the season:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday + Saturday and Sunday 11.00 – 16.00.
A new main exhibition is on display this summer: “Children know what’s important” – an exhibition where we focus on kids’ and youth’s values and creative interpretations of what’s important to them.
Saturday June 4th we open an exhibition of drawings made by Eskild Hagemoen (10). The artist will be present at the opening.
The first three Wednesdays of June and August, actress Kirsten Marcella Høeg performs “The Goat and the Wolf”.
For postnatal groups, our garden -or garden cottage is a nice place to get together. There’s a changing table and baby chairs available, and we sell ice cream and coffee. Unfortunately it’s not possible to bring strollers inside the museum, so we advice you also bring a baby carrier. Children under the age of two are free of charge.
Artist talk – 07.08
On Sunday August the 7th we’ll have an artist talk with the multitalented Sigurd Storm. He is currently showing his childhood drawings at the museum. They will be on display for the summer season, until August 20th.
Kids in Jazz – August 14 at 13.30
For the 4th year in a row, Kids in Jazz will perform at the museum! Kids in Jazz is an international mini festival for the youngest jazz talents, and the concert at our museum tends to be super popular. Kids in Jazz is an annual event in conjunction with the Oslo Jazzfestival.
The drop-in family workshops on Sundays are a regular activity offered at the museum. The themes change evry month and on special occasions.
Drum and music activity
Selected Saturdays you can participate in our weekly drum and music activity. The sessions are led by one of our skilled musicians. Suitable for all ages and the activity is included in your entrance ticket. NOTE: Drumming sessions are scheduled only for selected Saturdays during the summermonths: 25.6, 02.07 og 20.08
Sunday August 7th and Sunday August 14th we offer face-painting between kl. 11 am -3 pm
We are hoping for a great summer with plenty of sunshine, so that our garden, playground and sculptures can be enjoyed to its fullest!
