SUPPORT CONCERT – Slåttestjernene plays for the survival of the Children’s Art Museum!

The children’s team Slåttestjernene invites you to a support concert at a fateful time for the museum.
The International Children’s Art Museum is facing an acute crisis after its core funding was cut after 39 years of operation.
In our 40th anniversary year 2026, a unique global cultural heritage of children’s own creations from 180 countries is threatened to be lost.
In response to this incomprehensible situation, the children’s fiddling team Slåttestjernene will be holding a support concert. The team consists of outstanding musicians aged 8-10 who usually play classical music, but in this team they play traditional Norwegian folk music by ear. Led by folk musician Åshild Breie Nyhus, they have previously performed at the telethon and with famous artists.
Now they are playing for their own rights!
The Children’s Art Museum is unique as a conveyor of culture “from the bottom up”, where the children’s own eyes are the premise.
