“Les amis de Tamam” is a humanitarian association which helps Syrians. The association is located in Laval, 300 km west of Paris. Here lives a Syrian, Moussa Haddad, he arrived in France 30 years ago but he has never forgotten his country. That is why, he created the association ‘Les Amis De Tamam whose members are from Laval. There are 20 active members in the association and they organise actions in the city to help people in Syria. Every year, during the summer holidays, Moussa goes back to Homs, Syria.
In the coming months, Les Amis De Tamam plan to develop more actions for Syrian children. Being linked to the International Museum of Children’s Art in Oslo is a wonderful opportunity to organise a specific operation in Syria.
The Museum invites Syrian children and young to take part in the ongoing global campaign “Draw me, Love me” – Respect and Kindness through drawing initiated in partnership with Faber-Castell & The Red Pencil Humanitarian Foundation – and acknowledges the work of Les Amis De Tamam and Syrian children’s drawings to be included in the Museum collection and future projects.
