Travelers at Oslo Airport can experience the colorful children’s art from The International Museum of Children’s Art in Oslo. The exhibitions are made possible through a cooperation between Avinor Oslo Airport and The International Museum of Children’s Art.

The presentations contain over 100 works of art from around the world with themes around travels, adventures and destinations. The artworks consist of a series of reproductions in large format which can be seen in the terminal on departure / arrival Non-Schengen area and the passage onto pier south, near gate no. 19.

The International Museum of Children’s Art’s social mandate and responsibility is to give children and youth a voice and an inclusive space in the public sphere.

Avinor Oslo Airport is a very central and important arena where millions of people of all ages travel annually. We are convinced that art made by children and young aged 2-18 years, from more than 180 countries, will contribute in a colorful way and create a good atmosphere, says managing director at the International Museum of Children’s Art, Angela Goldin.

The museum’s long-term goal is to spread respect and understanding of the value of the children’s own history, art and culture and create awareness and respect around the child’s cultural expression and heritage.

We are fortunate to be able to showcase such an exhibition, and wish to make our contribution so that millions of travelers get to see this exhibition which comes from an important cultural institution in Oslo, says art project manager Avinor Anne Beate Hovind.
