Storytelling with actress Kirsten Høeg is a recurring and popular event in the museum’s mediation program. Kirsten’s performances are based on well-known and lesser-known folk tales from around the world, and she performs them with relish and enthusiasm. The kids get to contribute to the story along the way, they get tasks, lines or even assigned roles.
The storytelling is part of the program several times a year. New performances and dates are announced on the museum’s website under the menu “what’s on” and also in our newsletters.
Past performances:
Smørbukk
De sju folene
Høna tripper i berget
Gutten som ville fri til datter til mor i kroken
Kvernen som maler på havets bunn
Et juleventery
Sori Moria slott
Den grusomme kamelen (Somalia)
Barna i tretoppen (Tanzania)
Å kjøpe en sang (India)
Den vakre Vasilisa (Russia)
Storytelling is best suited for age 4 +. The performance is part of the museum’s guided tours, or as a stand alone activity on weekends. It is performed in Norwegian.
