Groups with special needs

We offer guided tours for groups with special needs, and are happy to adjust the program to fit the individual needs and functioning. We adapt the pedagogical program by emphasising the uses of our senses, for the purpose of creating a fulfilling aesthetic and cultural experience.

Our guides have extensive experience in meeting people with various disabilities. Based on the information you provide us with in advance, we will tailor a program that suits just you. For instance we can focus on looking at the art and talking about the images and objects from the museum’s collection, or we can allow for play and interactions through music, song and movement. In the museum’s «magical room» we can explore the materiality of objects from around the world and facilitate for tactile experiences. We wish to meet our visitors on their premises and allow for participation. We have a high tolerance for input and interruptions.

The museum is a villa with multiple floors. Unfortunately not all floors are accessible by wheelchair. We will help out as best we can if our visitors are physically challenged.

Groups with special needs need to book their visit to the museum in advance. For groups where noise and interference might be a challenge, we will try our best to make sure that you have the museum to yourself for the duration of your visit.

Accompanying persons with a certification card have free entrance.
